Detailed programme
The walk begins at the small harbour of La Madrague and follows the coastal path to Pointe des Chevaliers. Along the way, the children set off in search of clues left by Fernando, learn to recognise butterflies, distinguish between diurnal and nocturnal species, and understand the role of the cicada.
The tour also covers basic concepts of botany and geology, including identifying plants typical of the maquis and interpreting the landscape. Along the way, the importance of the Posidonia seagrass meadow is explained, to help participants better understand this essential feature of the coastline.
Designed to encourage interaction and focus amongst the children, the outing limits the number of accompanying adults to a maximum of two per family.
